As of January 1, 2026, the federal transfer tax on suppressors is $0. The ATF paperwork and background check still apply — but the toll booth is closed. There has never been a cheaper time to own quiet.

At checkout you pick a local FFL/SOT dealer. Your suppressor ships to them, not to your door — that’s federal law, and it’s the only step people find surprising.
File the Form 4
Fingerprints, a passport-style photo, and the ATF eForm 4. Your dealer (or a Silencer Shop kiosk) walks you through it in one visit. Individuals or NFA trusts both work — your dealer can explain which fits you.
Wait for approval
The ATF runs your background check. eForm approvals have been running days to a few months. You can track your status online the whole time.
Pick it up
Approval comes back, your dealer calls, you fill out a 4473 and walk out with your Talon. Quiet is yours for life — and so is our warranty.
